'Delay' is a choreographic piece created by Britta Wirthmüller in dialgue with students of the BA „Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie“ at HZT Berlin.
“Delay” is an attempt to fold time. The choreography is based on a practice of movement and speech. Action and appellation of an action are delayed, shifted, and at times resynchronised. The cognitive overload of this task puts the bodies into a state of agitation. The practice keeps slipping and gives space for interplay of controlled movement and unintentional physical impulses. The dancers will share their experience with this movement & performance practice in a discussion with the audience
